cafe, gallery, bookshop
Delicious home cooked meals and snacks served everyday.
Menu: We are often asked about our menu. We do not have a fixed menu, preferring to have the element of newness every day. But we always have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options for our tasty and often original meals. Toasties, sandwiches and paninis are always available. We have an example daily menu . Please ring and ask what else is on if you wish. All our dishes are freshly cooked on the premises.
Cyclists and cycling groups and walkers are very welcome to our cafe in Beaminster; best to ring ahead if more than 6 in group.
Gallery currently shows paintings, sculpture and art by Rosie Casselden, Janice Dempsey, John Kay, Edd Stone and Jacky Curtis.
Prices from £40 - £350.
Bookshop features poetry, memoir and fiction, including our late son Mark's memoir: P.S. I have cancer. Call in for a copy and help us raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
Set in the centre of the lovely small town of Beaminster, we offer a Double Room and a Family Room with a modernised bathroom. As a result of Covid 19, we have decided to offer only one room at a time unless both rooms are occupied by family or friends - the bathroom is therefore effectively en suite. Both rooms are £75 per night, £65 for single occupancy with £10 surcharge in Family Room if the fourth bed is used. We normally accept bookings for minimum two night stay.
The Double Room features a snug suitable for a child (up to about 10).
The Family Room accommodates up to four: a double bed; a single bed; and a chair bed
Both rooms have Smart TV.
Healthy breakfast is included - Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, boiled or poached egg with toast, fruit juice, tea/coffee. Extras like American pancakes, bacon, French toast available as a chargeable supplement.
Our B&B accommodation is is ideal for walkers on long distance Trails - notably the Wessex Ridgeway. We can arrange evening meals, packed lunches, and pick up and drop off on the Trails. Please contact for details.

July 19 Freedom Day seems not to be the release from restrictions we all hoped for. Our policy is to relax the need for masks for ourselves and customers unless customers request we wear as we shall retain social distancing measures both in terms of walking in and through the cafe, and seating. Hand sanitizer is readily available on entry. With the weather very warm we anticipate virtually all customers will wish to sit outside, and we have extra capacity in expectation. Please note that contact tracing is required - we ask that customers use the app wherever possible.
